I have been exercising some self-care and thought I would share my daily routine (most days).
- Wake up full of Gratitude (My husband just recently recovered from a very bad case of Coronavirus). I want to thank my family and friends for all of their prayers and generosity of food and spirit during this difficult time. We are the lucky ones and continue to pray for those who have died or are still recovering.
- Make coffee
- Walk Chloe, our adorable Havanese
- Eat breakfast; take a moment to reflect; read "I Really Needed this Today" and journal
- Shower
- Make bed; get dressed; start a load of wash
- Take photo of my "socks of the day" for my Instagram "#sockchallenge."
- Remind my husband to take his blood oxygen level and to drink water
- Prepare for workday
- Watch the news while working on a Jigsaw Puzzle - currently working on "Cinque Terre" (finished "Doors" and "The Village Toy Shop"). Thank you, Bethie, for sharing your puzzles.
- Start my Zoom calls for the day; work on Daily Update to the College from the Coronavirus Task Force
- Take a walk or a bike ride; or both to get some fresh air
- Start a second load of wash; 2 loads per day since this quarantine began. Need to keep everything clean, constantly washing counter tops, bathrooms, etc.
- Write down my calendar for the next day
- Prepare dinner
- Call Mom and Timmy as often as I can; wish I could be there with you, Mom
- Update food shopping list; thank you Alicia for all of the food shopping trips you took for us while under quarantine
- Set table
- Enjoy a meal and some wine with my family; another moment of gratitude that we are together; although I really miss Timmy, my angelface
- Watch Downton Abbey, McMillions, Ozark, Anne with an E, Madame Secretary, When Calls the Heart, or a movie (Sound of Music on Easter Sunday, My Cousin Vinny on our 35th wedding Anniversary the next day). Amanda cooked us a delicious anniversary dinner. Thank you, Amanda, and for everything else you have done for us during these past several weeks.
- Go to sleep :-)
